Original Facility
The surgery/imaging center at Town Park Drive and Beltway 8 on the west side of Houston was a unique solution for a client with a small piece of property and large dreams of a thriving ambulatory care center. The 39,000 square foot site was a very tight fit with the client’s desire for an imaging center with an MRI and CT and two operating rooms. The finished product was a single story 8,400 square foot facility with all the client-requested functions. The tan stucco and dark curtainwall finishes became a type of corporate branding for this client.
First Expansion – 2011
The facility was expanded in 2011 with an additional 8,800sf in two stories. The First Floor added two additional ORs and a private Sleep Lab area and the Second Floor added much needed administrative space. A crucial shared parking agreement with an adjacent school helped free up the necessary site space.
The facility is currently undergoing another expansion (the second on this tiny site!). We are adding over 14,000sf to convert the entire building into a ten bed hospital.
